Desktop computer recycling in Katy and Greater Houston
Planning desktop disposal after an office refresh? We pick up working and nonworking towers, compact PCs and computer parts.
What we accept
We accept all desktop computers regardless of brand or condition, including non-repairable and scrap computers and computer parts such as circuit boards and processors. Dell, Lenovo, HP and other brands are welcome.
- Towers and compact desktops, working or not
- Scrap and non-repairable computers
- Parts: circuit boards, processors and graphics cards
- Internal and external hard drives
- Keyboards, mice and power cords
Monitors are collected in the same pickup. Flat monitors carry a small service fee, and so do older tube (CRT) monitors.
Before pickup
- Back up important files before pickup. Storage media is wiped or destroyed during processing.
- Remove passwords and sign out of accounts where you can. If a desktop no longer powers on, its data is still securely destroyed during processing.
- Leave drives in the towers unless your policy says otherwise. Hard drive removal is available for a small fee.
- Unplug and bundle power cords with each tower, or bag them together.
- Stand towers together near your back door or loading dock. A pallet or a rolling cart helps with a large count.
Quantities and the pickup fee
Each desktop tower counts toward the 12-computer-or-server pickup threshold. Monitors, keyboards and other accessories do not. Pickup fee typically waived at 12 or more computers or servers. Some per-item fees apply. For smaller collections, ask about combining pickups in the area. A pickup fee may apply. Fees and waiver eligibility are confirmed before scheduling.
A room of 10 towers plus a couple of laptops still reaches 12, because laptops count too. If you are clearing a training room or a call center floor, list towers and monitors separately in your pickup request so the fee check is accurate.
Data destruction
Storage media is wiped or physically destroyed using industry-standard methods through certified R2 downstream partners. Request a Certificate of Destruction when requesting pickup for your compliance and audit records, including documentation related to HIPAA or SOC 2 requirements.
